President
Emmanuel B. John, PT, DPT, PhD, MBA, MPH, FAHA, is Professor and Dean, Dr. Donald E. and Lois J. Myers School of Nursing and Health Professions School of Nursing and Health Professions at the York College of Pennsylvania, York, PA, United States, and a Visiting Professor to Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Nigeria. Until recently, from 2015-2022, he was Chair and Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy at Chapman University in Irvine, California. Prior to that, he served as Associate Professor and Director of Research for the School of Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada, and as an Associate Professor at Radford University in Roanoke, VA. In addition, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he also served as Director of the Motor Control and Neuromuscular Performance Laboratory.John serves or had served in leadership roles for several professional organizations, including as secretary and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the American Council on Academic Physical Therapy (2018-2022). He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Nigeria Society of physiotherapy and Executive Director of the Nigeria Physiotherapy Network. John was recently appointed as a Board member of the Memorial Health Fund, under the auspices of the York County Community Foundation, and Board member, UPMC York, PA Hospital Advisory Board. He also recently started his tenure as an Editorial Board member of the Journals of the American Heart Association.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria; a Ph.D. in rehabilitation science from the University of Kansas Medical Center; a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Alabama State University, Montgomery; an MBA from Louisiana State University, Shreveport; and a Master of Public Health from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and a Credentialed Fellowship Graduate of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Educational Leadership Institute.
His research spans four areas: the effects of age, gender, and neurological lesions on the sense of motor effort; the effects of virtual reality rehabilitation and robotic rehabilitation interventions on the sense of motor efforts; the effects of discharge destinations and socioeconomic factors on motor function recovery after stroke; and the impact of brain-drain on physical therapy education in developing countries.

Olabisi Tokunbo Omehe ,PT.DPT.Dr. BisiOmehe (nee Shoyinka) earned her Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy from the University of Lagos in 1991 and did her Youth Service in the Navy Hospital Lagos.Dr. Omehe relocated to the United States of America in 1994 and worked in the states of Illinois and Michigan. Dr. Omehe has been practicing in the state of Texas for 20 years. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University, Abilene, Texas in 2010. Dr. Omehe has practiced as a licensed physical therapist in various settings – outpatient, SNF, acute care, and home health, and she is the CEO of Rapha Rehab Services Inc.
Dr. Olabisi Tokunbo Omehe is married and blessed with three beautiful daughters.

Dr. Olu Owoeye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at Saint Louis University, United States. Olu earned his Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Ibadan. He holds both a Master’s degree and a PhD in sports physical therapy from the University of Lagos, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in injury epidemiology from the University of Calgary. He also completed graduate certificates in public health at the University of Missouri and in implementation science.
He directs the Saint Louis University Translational Injury Prevention Lab and serves as a Deputy Editor for the British Journal of Sports Medicine. His research focuses on sports and exercise injury prevention, wellness promotion, and implementation science. Dr. Owoeye has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in leading sports medicine and physical therapy journals.
With support from Saint Louis University, he has secured research funding from several prestigious organizations, including the NBA, General Electric, the Canadian Musculoskeletal Research Network, the International Olympic Committee, and the National Institutes of Health.

Adetuniji Bello
Mr. Adetunji Bello is a physiotherapist in private practice in Alberta Canada. He owns a multiple locations group of clinics. Tunji graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-Ife, Nigeria, in 1989. He worked at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi Lagos until 1998 when he migrated to South Africa. He worked as Chief Physiotherapist and Head of Department of Physiotherapy at the Petersburg-Mankweng Hospitals Complex in South Africa until 2001 when he was recruited to the Republic of Ireland.
Tunji successfully completed his Masters degree in Rehabilitation at the University College, Dublin in 2004. He was a senior Physiotherapist at the Peamount Hospital, Newcastle, County Dublin from 2001-2008 wheen he migrated to Canada.
He has been in private practice as a clinic owner doing both out patient musculoskeletal and sports injuries rehabilitation since 2008.
He served on the Registration Committee of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario until 2014 when he relocated to Alberta. He is the physiotherapist for the Drumheller Dragons hockey team.
Tuniji is also on the Board of Directors of the Drumheller and Distinct Chamber of Commerce.
He enjoys traveling, playing table tennis, hiking and board games.
